My power supply died a couple years ago and I bought a new one plus a spare. Pretty sure what to get was from a forum post. It was a cheap Chinese item

This thread has potentially answered a lingering question I've had. While doing some wiring I had the sunken pantry taken apart next to the stove in the galley. I found a 24V to 12V converter that is very close to the propane detection system. I never chased the wires to find out what it was for. I don't like finding things that I don't know what they are for.

Next time I'm back there I will have to confirm it is a power supply for the propane system.

Mark,

Thank you.

I do have a 12V converter. I'm getting a constant 12V to the S-2A. But as the S-2A cycles through it's light sequence or testing, the output voltage is off and on, 12V to 0 through out the cycle.

I'm headed south soon and was hoping there was some reset process that I could try. Didn't find anything on the internet. I did put a call into Xintex. Hopefully they can help me decide if I need to replace the panel, sensors and valve or just the panel.

thank again Mark!

Don:

Do you have a 24V system? My S-2A apparently died a while back and I discovered that mine was setup with a small 24V to 12V converter hidden behind the panel in one of my galley lockers. It turned out to be the DC-to-DC converter that had failed, not the unit itself. Yours doesn't sound exactly the same because mine was really "dead", but you might see if you have a similar converter and check the output voltage.

Wanted to see if anyone has any experience with the propane sensor system.

It has started giving me some trouble.

When I turn it on

Green on Valve

Green on Sensor 1 (Propane locker)

Green on Sensor 2 (Force10 Stove)

Module not lit

Then Changes to

No light on Valve

Green then Red then off - Sensor 1

then Green then Red then off S- ensor 2

then Amber on then off - Module Fault

Then repeats above sequence over and over. No Lights say on permanently. It just keeps cycling like it is rebooting over and over.

Never had a problem prior to yeaterday. I finally get it working, but then today it started faulting again.

Thanks in advance,

Don Keller
