Quick Insurance Recommendation Before We Leave For...

I meant to share this information during a formal session at Baltimore Rendezvous but it did not happen. I worked with an impressive insurance agent to get our new Shangri-La insured, first working on East Coast and Caribbean coverage and then pivoting to South China Sea and Pacific crossing possibilities. I am a demanding customer when it comes to insurance, not just because of the long legs we stretch with our boating habits, but because I did insurance litigation for 40 plus years and know how to read and interpret policies.

David Durham, owner of Selene 54 Sapphire, referred me to Gina Doyle, a nice lady on the west coast. Gina is a TIGER. She worked so hard and kept up with me as we searched and searched for the best policy to satisfy our needs. We got it done. She recently emailed me and told me I did not break the record, but scored runner up with 144 email exchanges with her, the record setter insuring a 100 plus foot superyacht having around 250 exchanges. She never missed a beat and secured the policy I will likely keep for a long time. And I don’t get a cut if she sells some policies to Selene owners. Just a pure recommendation from a happy Jack. Gina with Hayden Insurance/HUB is also a generous sponsor of our west coast rendezvous, so mention and thank them for that as well.

Good to share this type of information with the community. Since I first posted around 12 hours ago, there have been almost 40 views. Good for us and good for the vendors who serve us well. Call Gina for a proposal and a quote if you are shopping, then evaluate her proposal and serve your best interests when your evaluation is done.
