Good thing we did not attend the Isle of Man TT events this year. Rain, fog, wrecks, sidecar machines going airborne, then crashes involving rider and spectator injuries all combined to bring racing to a complete halt and the event was canceled. I would likely have just sat in pubs eating sausages and drinking for a week, frustrating my nephrologist and stretching the seams of my riding britches.
However, riding did happen on the SMOG circuit this weekend. The worst injuries, involving questionable late afternoon and evening behavior, were resolved at dawn the next morning with Tylenol, soaks in the spa tub on the dock with strong coffee, good music and then more riding.
Captain America Roger brought the Big Blue BMW Space Ship (1600 cc) to the Northern Neck of Virginia to visit, talk, ride boats and bikes, smoke meat, eat, drink and set up my new helmet with the cool tech stuff he gets that I don’t. And yes, the Space Ship looks, levitates, sounds and even vibrates like an alien transporter. I wore out my two SMOG machines just trying to keep up on the asphalt. But I was better on the gravel with the Scrambler.

We gotta’ get a group ride organized. Who is coming to our Summer Rendezvous?
I may actually be riding with Honorable Howard this weekend in China as I have a yard visit scheduled and he invited me to the Dragon Boat Festival. I am not sure if we will be on the road or in the water, but we will be mobile. I will see him and his family beginning Saturday night. Delivering to him and Awesome Arina their SMOG attire - yours will ship out when I return.
