Lazarette ventilation system
We fitted a T in the existing Saloon AirCon pipe with an in-line fan.
The fan ventilates the lazarette pulling air from the AirCon evaporator -even when it’s not powered up and not cooling.
Of course when the AirCon is working that’s when the Inverters are working hard (AirCon. Cooking. Charging via the Genny) and getting hot so the cool air nicely cools the lazarette.

In the build of Selene 6047 Shangri-La, I personally designed and Howard agreed to install a ventilation system into the workshop lazarette. Rather than install a separate AC unit, I designed a vent with a valve that uses the AC from the salon, only on demand, to force cool air into the workshop lazarette when needed. This simplifies the layout, reducing cost by avoiding another compressor, and frees up some space. The vessel just splashed today and I will go to the yard in a few weeks for a final inspection so I don't know how well this bespoke concept will work, but I am hopeful.

Has anybody installed a ventilation system into the lazarette? I am installing inverters in that space and it’s getting too hot..

where would be the best place to bring fresh air in?
