Door lock issue

I'm having a problem with the lock on the port side door on my 2004 Selene 36. As I turn the key or the little knob on the inside the lock mechanism turn and appears to lock but any amount of pressure on the door handle, moves the mechanism. I can feel the mechanism turning when i put my hand up in the little access hatch. I'm assuming the lock is broken. Its a CISA euro style lock, I see them on the web but can't get the lock out so I can measure it (haven't started banging on it ....yet). Has anybody had a similar experience or does anyone know how to get this type of lock out? I've attached a couple pictures.

Thanks for your help.

My 2007 Selene 40 has exactly the same issue on the starboard side. The lock mechanism doesn't appear to be broken so much as poorly designed/machined and worn over time. The CISA-keyed lock isn't the issue, but rather the locking latch moved by it. I'm certain we're not the only ones, given the lock design, and I'd also love to know of any solutions. My attempts have so far failed.
