Selene Wins "People's Choice" 3 times in a row!

By: Chuck Wistar, Selene Annapolis

It is hard to believe that for the third year in a row, Selene was selected as the “People’s Choice” – the best boat in the show – at PassageMaker Magazine’s TrawlerFest this weekend in Solomons, Maryland, USA.

"Holiday" (Selene 4737), the first next generation Selene 47, was the hit of the show.

Selene 4737 - Holiday, the first Next Generation Selene 47, was the hit of the show. She has been beautifully specified by her owners, Bart and Beth Beckman, who left today for a one week shakedown cruise. The award was presented by PassageMaker’s Publisher and its Editor-in-Chief to the owners, and to Andrea and I, as the dealer.

Last year, Selene 5381, Peddler III won the same award at the Greenport, New York Trawlerfest. In September 2007, the Selene 53 Wianno won the award at the same Solomons, Maryland, TrawlerFest.

The People's Choice Award is presented to the Beckmans and to Chuck & Andrea Wistar of Selene Annapolis

The excitement over the Next Generation Selenes with their Deep Hull/Cruiser Stern and their innovative offset galley and L-shaped pilothouse settee were the talk of the weekend. We are working hard to convert that enthusiasm for some new orders for the Selene 47 and for the Selene 44. Of course we’ll work with the several other very serious prospects for other designs.

It was a very exciting weekend with over two dozen Selene owners visiting - a very enthusiastic (and occasionally rowdy) community.

Thanks to the Jet Term team for designing and building another WINNER!
